Children's book author, Dan Allbaugh, is the founder of Green Meeple Books which operates as an independent publishing company located in Urbandale, Iowa.  

Dan is a husband and father of two curious and playful boys whose energy and shared love of games inspire his writing.  Dan's gaming hobby is the inspiration for the name of his publishing company.  A 'meeple' is a small person-shaped token used in some board games to represent a player’s units.  The word is said to be a combination of the words ‘my’ and ‘people’.
